• From 15 June 2026 to 31 July 2026, Minit Money customers can enter the “Score Big with Minit Money” competition by sending money via the Minit Money app (“the App”) and/or by referring a new friend to the platform. Every qualifying activity earns entries into a draw from which one grand prize winner will be selected on 06 August 2026.
   

• Entry methods:

  • Send money via the App during the competition period — each qualifying transaction earns one (1) entry into the draw.

  • Refer a new friend who successfully registers an account on the App during the competition period — the referring customer earns three (3) bonus entries. Additionally, if the referred friend also makes a qualifying money transfer on the App during the competition period, the referring customer earns one (1) further bonus entry.
    There is no cap on the number of entries a customer may accumulate.

• Any natural person who meets all of the following criteria:

  • Holds an active Minit Money customer account (not an ambassador, influencer, agent, or affiliate account).

  • Holds a valid South African ID or a valid national ID from a corridor country where Minit Money currently operates.

  • Has completed Know Your Customer (KYC) level 1 verification in terms of Minit Money’s AML Policy.

  • Is at least 18 years of age.
     

• The following persons are NOT eligible to enter:

  • Minit Money employees, directors, contractors, consultants, and their immediate family members.

  • Minit Money brand ambassadors, influencers, agents, or affiliates in any capacity. This competition is exclusively for customers.

  • Any person acting on behalf of another person or entity.

Where a customer earns bonus entries by referring a friend, the following conditions must all be satisfied:
 

• The referred friend must be a brand new user who has never previously registered an account on the Minit Money App. Referrals of existing or previously registered users will not qualify for bonus entries.

• The referred friend must use the referring customer’s unique referral link or code when registering.

• The referred friend must successfully complete KYC level 1 verification and register their account on the App before 31 July 2026. The referred friend is not required to make a transaction for the referring customer to earn their three (3) bonus entries.

• If the referred friend also makes a qualifying money transfer on the App before 31 July 2026, the referring customer earns one (1) additional bonus entry on top of the three (3) registration bonus entries.

• Only the referring customer earns the referral bonus entries described above. The referred friend earns their own individual entries through their own transactions.

• Referrals that are found to be fraudulent, self-referrals, or from duplicate accounts will be disqualified.

• This competition is open to Minit Money customers only. Minit Money ambassadors, influencers, agents, and affiliates are expressly excluded from this competition.

• If an ambassador, influencer, agent, or affiliate enters the competition (whether knowingly or unknowingly), the following will apply:

  • Their entries will be void and disqualified.

  • If such a person is selected as a winner, they will automatically forfeit all prizes.

  • The promoter will conduct a re-draw to select a new eligible winner from the remaining qualified entries.

  • The disqualified entrant will have no right of appeal against this decision.

• One (1) grand prize winner will receive the following:
   

  • A luxury wellness and treats hamper, including a bath set (bath bombs, body wash, scrubs, and related items) and a selection of chocolates and confectionery.

  • A soccer jersey of the winner’s choice (subject to availability and a reasonable retail value cap as determined by the promoter at the time of fulfilment).
     

• Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and may not be redeemed for cash. The promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the specified prize becomes unavailable.

• The winner will be selected by a random draw from all eligible entries received between 15 June 2026 and 31 July 2026 (23:59 SAST).
   

• The draw will take place on 06 August 2026. The winner will be notified within five (5) business days of the draw via SMS or phone call using the contact details registered on their Minit Money account. The winner’s first name and initial will be announced on Minit Money’s social media channels.
   

• If the selected winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within ten (10) business days of first notification, the promoter reserves the right to conduct a re-draw and select an alternative winner.

• You may not misuse the competition in any way.

• You must comply with all the terms & conditions and privacy policies that apply to Minit Money.

• You must obtain at your own expense all equipment and services that are necessary to gain access to the App to take part in this competition.

• The promoter can put in place such technical or other remedies it considers appropriate to prevent abuse, or to protect any website, app, wallet, its systems and other users.

• The promoter shall not be liable to you for any disruption to the competition because of technical or other problems which are beyond its reasonable control. If there is disruption, the promoter will, where possible, take reasonable steps to fix any disruption and resume the competition on a fair and equitable basis.

• The promoter cannot accept any responsibility for entries not received for any reason, including because they have been lost or not received due to interrupted internet connections, miscommunications, or other electronic malfunctions.

• Any fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

• Automated or bulk entries will be disqualified.

• Unless the promoter says otherwise, you must be at least 18 years of age to enter.

• You are responsible for the tax associated with using or accepting any prize.

• You may not attempt to do anything to change the outcome of the competition in any way.

• The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. This means you cannot appeal any decision by the judges.

• The promoter has the right to end this competition at any time. If this happens, you agree to waive any rights that you may have about this competition and agree that you will have no rights against the promoter.

• The promoter reserves the right to change the rules of the competition at any time. It is your responsibility to check the rules for amendments.

• The clauses in these rules are severable. If any clause is found to be unlawful, it will be removed and the remaining clauses will still apply.

• Where any dates or times need to be calculated, the international standard time GMT+2 (SAST) will be used.

• This competition and its rules will be governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa regardless of where you live or work, or where or how you enter.

• While prize winners may be asked to take part in publicity for the competition, prize winners have the right to refuse. If you agree to take part in publicity, you give the promoter and its affiliates the right, except where prohibited by law, to use your name to promote or publicize the competition, including the right to publish your name on the promoter’s website and social media platforms.

• The promoter will use your personal data to enable your participation in this competition and related activities. The promoter will store and use your personal data according to applicable data protection laws and the Promoter’s privacy policy. By participating in the competition, you consent to the transfer, storage and processing of your data. The Promoter will not use your data for a different purpose without first obtaining your consent.
   

  • IMPORTANT​
    ▪    You agree to indemnify the promoter fully for any loss or damage the promoter may suffer because you breached these competition rules. This means you agree to reimburse the promoter for any loss or damage suffered, any expenses and costs paid or owed, including legal costs on an attorney and own client scale.
    ▪    You also agree to indemnify the promoter for any loss or damage you suffered because you took part in this competition or used the prize. If you send money through the App, or use or accept the prize, you understand that you do so of your own free will and that you cannot hold the promoter legally responsible for any resulting loss, damage, or legal expenses.
    ▪    You will protect the promoter from being held legally responsible for the loss, damage, or legal expenses of another person (legal or natural) if such loss was incurred because you: (a) breached these competition rules; (b) took part in this competition; or (c) any person used a prize.

    If you fail to comply with any part of these rules you will be disqualified and will forfeit any prize(s).
